Welcome and Farewell Program BCA, BBM, BBS (NIST Higher Education)

Venue: Nepa Banquet, Sorakhutte
Hosts: Kritika Laxmi Roka and Abhigya Dangol, BBM 5th Semester

Today was a special Saturday at NIST Higher Education, filled with a mix of emotions as we welcomed the freshers and bid farewell to our seniors. The event, held at Nepa Banquet, was a heartwarming blend of beginnings and goodbyes.

The program started at 11 AM, with everyone looking their best in neat and clean attire. By 11:15 AM, the hall was buzzing with anticipation. We began with the national anthem, standing in gratitude for our nation. This was followed by a worship ceremony for Goddess Saraswati, the source of knowledge. Our Campus Chief, Dr. Madhav Prasad Baral, along with Chairperson Ms. Pranita Sharma Baral and Assistant Campus Chief Mr. Navaraj Heka, performed the ceremonial lighting of the diyo.

Dr. Baral then gave a heartfelt speech, warmly welcoming the freshers and wishing the seniors good luck as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. The organizing team honored our guests, faculty, and staff with khadas. Rit Magaiya, one of our beloved students, delivered a beautiful welcome and farewell speech. Seniors Yougesh Marahatta and Chiza Mahat shared their memorable journeys at NIST.

The highlight of the morning was a mesmerizing dance performance by BBM 5th semester students, Rit Magaiya and Leeza Magaiya. The hall was filled with joy as everyone enjoyed the performances and spent quality time together. Khadas were distributed to the freshers and the seniors, and we captured these moments in photographs, turning them into cherished memories.

By 1 PM, it was time for a lunch break. The food was delicious, featuring a variety of local dishes like daal bhat, fish, chicken, and an assortment of drinks and ice creams. After the break, we resumed the program at 2 PM with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

It was heartening to see the active participation of the students. NIST is truly a foundation of multitalented individuals, excelling in dancing, singing, poetry, and various other fields. The event continued with the distribution of tokens of love to our senior students. The expressions in everyone's eyes told different stories, reflecting the diverse experiences and emotions of the day. Parting with classmates after sharing years of life together is indeed difficult, but one chapter must end for another to begin.

As we switched gears to distribute tokens of love to our senior students, we could see the emotions in everyone's eyes. Parting with classmates who have shared your life for five years is a difficult experience for anyone. However, one chapter must close for another to begin.

We personally wish the best of luck to those who are leaving and those who are joining. Your future depends on the choices you make and the paths you follow. Through all the highs and lows, the entire NIST foundation will be there to light your way.

The program concluded with a beautiful speech from our Assistant Campus Chief. After the formal program ended, students continued to enjoy themselves with music and dancing. Overall, it was a beautiful day.

Like the sunrise and sunset, we are born and we die; not everyone will remember you, but a few will remember you by your deeds. So, be good and make your future bright. As we close this chapter, we look forward to the new beginnings that await us all.
